Measured Building, Topographical and CCTV Drainage Surveys
Hartham Leisure Centre

Orchestrated approach delivers integrated survey results with minimal disruption.

Providing a range of different surveys and coordinating the teams to ensure minimal operational disruption was successfully carried out ahead of a proposed renovation and expansion project at Hartham Leisure Centre in Hertford.

As a supplier to contractor Willmott Dixon, Survey Solutions was asked to organise the delivery of several different surveys to provide the contractor with the comprehensive data required.

These included: a topographical survey, a measured building survey including floor plans and elevations and creating a Revit model from the 3D point cloud. The project also needed utility surveys to locate and trace electricity, gas and telecommunications services below ground.

A CCTV survey with robotic cameras providing high definition visual imagery was also used to view and assess the site’s drainage.

Jack Mills from Survey Solutions’ Brentwood Office which coordinated the work said: “From the brief supplied by Willmott Dixon, we were able to deliver a coordinated plan using different teams to provide the range of surveys required. As the Leisure Centre was still being used during this process, there were access challenges which we managed by timing our activity to minimise disruption and allow it to remain open to the public.

“This was a great example of us orchestrating different types of surveys, executed by several Survey Solutions teams pooling their specialist skillsets and working closely to overlapping timeframes. Everything went smoothly and all the surveying was completed on schedule.”
